How to prepare the coffee machine for shipping

In our service, you can repair your coffee machine without leaving your home. The service is available in a door-to-door system, allowing you to repair your coffee maker from anywhere in Poland. To carry out the repair remotely, you need to send the device to the service via a courier company or through paczkomaty.pl. Proper preparation of the coffee machine is one of the most important aspects of this process. That's why we created a list of tips on how to properly prepare your coffee machine for shipping.

Before you pack your coffee machine for shipping

Before packing the coffee machine, empty all tanks. Pay special attention to the water tank, drip tray / condensate container, and coffee. A water leak during transport can cause damage to the coffee machine. In winter, we also recommend emptying the internal system of the coffee machine. If possible, also empty the coffee container.

How to pack a coffee machine

We always recommend that the coffee machine be packed in the original packaging in which it was purchased. Such a box has appropriate fittings and Styrofoam fillers. If you do not have the original packaging for the device:

• choose a box that is slightly larger than your coffee machine; if possible, we recommend lining the bottom and side walls with Styrofoam
• wrap the machine thoroughly in bubble wrap (preferably several layers to best protect it from damage); instead of bubble wrap, you can use sponge (but in that case, first wrap the device in stretch film to avoid possible moisture exposure)
• place the secured coffee machine vertically in the box; fill any gaps between the device and the packaging with additional padding (bubble wrap, cardboard, sponge, Styrofoam) so that the machine cannot move (it must be packed 'stiffly')
• include any accessories for the coffee machine that you have (e.g., frothing nozzle); place them in a separate bag or wrap them in stretch film; they should also not be able to move in the box
• seal the box with tape and, if possible, wrap it in stretch film (this will additionally protect the machine from moisture during transport)
• it’s a good idea to place a note on the box saying 'Fragile / Do not throw / Glass/'
